I'm trying to find the correct defroster heater part # for my GE. When i enter my model # it's showing different part #'s. I accidentally found a # that wasn't showing the 1st few times i checked. Weird. Anyways, is this the correct # here? I already ordered and received my defrost timer and defrost thermostat. I want to get the defrost heater, also, as parts are getting harder and harder to find.

AP2635762 (230B on diagram) It's 80- or so, so i want to make sure.

Thanks

Yes the part number you give looks correct.

It is best to talk to a parts representative when ordering as they have more info than what comes up on the parts site.

Thank you! Looking at the diagram of my model, it looks like the heater is inside the freezer near the lower area, is that correct? I don't see anything inside my freezer in that area. Do I access it from inside the freezer someplace? The back of the fridge itself looks totally sealed with the exception of the bottom where the fan blade is.

(sorry for the double post)

Correct

Yes.
it is behind the cover at the back of the freezer.
Sometimes you can see the screws which hold the cover on.
On some units the rear cover has a seal around it's outside and the screws are under this seal.
