Brake makes a grinding noise when the spin cycle finishes and it engages to stop the drum.
What parts will be needed to repair this problem.
I ordered all parts that seemed to be brake related, but 2 parts where back ordered.
I want to make sure I do this right.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Rich

Not Brake making noise, Tub "Spinner Top Assy." making the noise.
It keeps spinning on top of the drum when the drum stops, making a really bad grinding sound resonating through the drum making it louder.
I'm guessing it should not spin freely on top of the tub.
If I am right, should I replace this part (Maytag # 22004241)
Any insight would be helpful.

Pull the tub top off, remove agitator(there may be a 1/4 inch screw near the bottom), then lift out spin basket, you will probably find a busted hub. Go to web site www.applianceaid.com for replacement info.
