I have a very similar, if not the same, issue.
Is there a switch that can go bad, is there something temperature sensitive related to the top oven going on or off?

Our top oven light goes on and off every several seconds for an hour or more after we use the range or the top oven. Seems to be directly related to heat.
Aside from the light flicking on and off, this is a problem because 1) using the top oven and the timer at the same time, the reminder on the timer completing is cancelled when the light turns itself on, presumably because the oven thinks it has been opened by a user. 2) we can't run the clean cycle because once the oven gets hot enough, the light starts turning on and off, so the clean cycle quits because the oven thinks it has been open. I think we get an error from the clean cycle, but we gave up trying to run it so long ago I forget what the error was.
