Frigidaire Affinity Dryer AEQ7000ES1
I'm hoping I can get some help trouble shooting an issue I'm having with my dryer. A month ago I reconnected my Moisture Sensor which had come loose, however now the issue I'm having is that the dryer spins, heats, , but the clothes won't dry. I noticed the lint vent no longer collects, or has lint in it after a cycle. It appears most of the clothes dry out from the spin cycle since I can see little puddles under the dryer, and small amounts of water run out after opening the door.
My thoughts are the blower motor is not blowing and circulating the hot air. Can someone confirm my thoughts, and what is the best way to fix the problem.

Try the following.
Unplug the unit and disconnect it from the vent system.
Now try a run.
If it now dries OK odds are the vent system needs checking/cleaning.
Be sure to check that the louvers on the outside of the house open correctly.
If you do not want any lint in the house.
Take a pair of pantyhose.
Put one leg into the other and then attach this to the dryer's vent.
Leave enough room so the pantyhose can balloon out like a windsock.
Both the above will let you check the temperature and the air flow.
Note: The above is not recommended for gas dryers due to carbon monoxide concerns. |

OK, didn't want to buy off on the fact my vent system was clogged, after all, that's what my wife said the problem was as well...
I had bought a bristle brush with about 20-30 feet of rod and had run that up and down so I knew that wasn't the issue. Well, what actually happened is that I cleaned it out, but towards the top I ended up stuffing the vent system much like a canon load. After running the dryer with the pantyhose and seeing how well it dried I knew my wife was right!
It was then that I decided to listen to her next suggestion and take our leaf blower to blow the vent out. I wrapped a towel around the blower, stuck it in the vent system, and let rip with a full gail force wind. The outside top end shot out an unbelievable big plug of lint. Re-attached the dryer and she now works as designed.
