I have an old Whirlpool in-the-wall oven (model# RYE1600P2) and the bake element has gone out. I ordered part # AP3095829 (which looks like the existing part) but tech dept researched and came back with part #AP3035472 (which does not look like the existing part). Is there a difference or will either work?

It does not look to me that either will work.

The part AppliancePartsPros gave has the connections facing up.
The distance between the connections is 14 1/2 inches.

The parts you found has the connections facing each other.
The distance between the connections is 12 3/4 inches.

I used the pictures of the elements to figure out the above so it does depends on the pictures being correct.
Also that the grid used on both are the same re: each square is one inch.

Which way the connectors face may not make a difference but the distance between them definitely will.
