The slim vertical panel between the fridge and freezer door on a side by side fridge is VERY hot. We were told in the chat to vacuum the coil or coils. We could only find one coil in the rear, next to the compressor. Is there only this one coil? The compressor is also very hot. If this is the correct solution, not sure how long it will take to cool off the front vertical panel? And, should the compressor also be so hot, or should it cool off. Or, could the problem be different?

Here are your parts. You are missing the last digit in the model number. Please choose the correct unit in "Matching Model Numbers" area. They are probably very close to each other.

Yes there is only one condenser/compressor coil. It is the jellyroll type (item 10 in section 08). Theses are a pain to clean. I know because I also have one. In my case I can roll the unit over to an open exterior door and then I use a compressor to blow it out. I have been told that a leaf blower also works.

Is the condenser/compressor fan on?
I cannot find a wiring diagram for this unit but on most units the fan is on whenever the compressor is on.
Are the fan blades clean?
Are the vent on the front kickplate and the rear cover clean?

Thanks. We will check that all out and try an air compressor to blow it out. Think the fan is running, but will look further.

There are 3 different model numbers depending where we look. Another is GS22**D*** and another adds a V to the end of the other one in the post, so GS22Y8DV if that helps.
