late last year (Nov-Dec 2012) I replaced the motor coupling and agitator cam and dogs (did not buy parts from you, didn't know about your company). the machine has worked fine until last night.

We had a load of towels in the machine. at the spin cycle my wife smelled something like rubber burning and we heard a weird noise. I opened the lid and put a screwdriver in the lid switch. the drain pump was working, but the tub was not spinning. (I can't spin the tub by hand. don't know if i should be able to or not).

I was going to check if the agitator works in the wash cycle, but when i set the fill level to low and filled the machine, it just kept filling and the agitator never turned on. i had to go to the spin cycle and drain the machine. (By the way, to get it to drain, i had to remove the clear hose from the fill level switch and blow in it to get the machine to turn on the drain pump).

I tilted the machine back and there are black rubber filings in the housing of the motor coupling.

So, i am assuming the motor coupling is bad again. wondering if it was just a cheap, defective replacement or if there is another problem causing it to wear prematurely.

Also assuming the fill level switch is bad.

I do have a video of the noise on spin if you would like to see that.

Can you please advise.

It does sound like the coupling went bad again, which can be just plain bad luck, or the result of serious overloading or some jamming issues.

I would just replace the coupling since it is not expensive, fix the water level thingee and see if it works ok.
