Refrig turned off approx 1 month. When restarted will not cool or freeze. Took back panel off refrig, noticed compressor was running but condensor fan not running. Replaced condensor fan with new one, now fan running, compressor running , but still not cooling or freezing. Took panel off inside freezer and the evaporator fan not running. Coils are not cooling or freezing, compressor is warm. Turned defrost knob on botton of refridge clockwise and refidge fan and compressor turned off, turned knob a little farther clockwise and compressor and fan started up but still no cooling or freezing. Could it be the defost is stuck and needs replacing or why doesn't the fan in the freezer start up? Please help. Thanks

Can you feel the compressor running?
If yes and there is no cooling then you have a sealed system problem.
This would be an expensive repair as you need a pro. Often it makes more sense to put those dollars towards a new unit.

No it is not stuck in defrost.
If it was then the compressor and it's fan would not be on.

or why doesn't the fan in the freezer start up?
The freezer fan gets power through the main thermostat, the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat which closes once the evaporator coil gets cold. So until the evaporator coils are cold it will not come on.
