When checking voltage the scale used should always be higher than the expected voltage so use the 250 volt AC scale. Yes, when I shorted the meter leads together it went to zero ohms, so the meter seems to be working. I went to the parts store and when I tested the WR60X10141 fan (using RX1K setting), the meter didn't budge (didn't go near the zero). So I came back home without buying it. 1. The fan looked brand new so I was wondering maybe it's not supposed to go to zero or that I'm doing something wrong? 2. Is there a website that can tell me what readings I'm supposed to get for my refrigerator? (like the voltage AC/DC, ohms etc...)

If you get 120 volts AC going to the fan and it does not turn then it is toast. |
