We have a Model SHU4312 UC/U06 also. 5 years ago we had the control panel replaced under warranty, reluctantly on their part. Here we are 5 years later, and yet again the same problem. Why were these makes and models not recalled recently like so many others? Obviously threre is a problem..

We have a Model SHU43C that we bought new & installed 1/2004. We had no issues until the recall, where we had the control module replaced in 1/2009. Recently it has taken hours to complete any cycle and not always draining the water from the bottom.

Last night, it stayed on 0, making noise for hours (unbeknownst to us) and when we woke up it smelled like burning rubber. The dishes were not clean.

So, today, I called the recall line and they said that the replacement part was only covered for 1 year and I am out of luck.

Any advise is greatly appreciated!
