My dryer is not drying. The clothes stay wet, although it turns and heats up. I vacuumed out as much of the venting as I could and also noticed that the lint buildup was wet as I vacuumed it. When the venting is attached the indicator light stays on "sensing". Is detached the venting hose from the back of the dryer (it is located right beside an outside door which I kept open) and it dried the load immediately and the indicator light went from sensing to wet to drying etc as it should.

I cannot determine if there is a block in the vent but the outlet outside the house does not appear to be blocked, although the outside vent is right behind a thorny bush so I can't easily crawl under to take it off and look in it. I would like to trouble shoot myself, although admittedly not handy electrically I can take stuff apart and could try clearing the vent if that is the problem.
Thanks!

Hi.

You are definitely have a restricted vent. I don't think there is anything wrong with the dryer.

Simon.
