Dishwasher stopped mid-cycle. No buttons seemed to work - couldn't even cancel/drain. Turned of circuit breaker to dishwasher for 30 minutes. We were able to get the machine to complete cycle. This morning, all buttons except for the start button seem to work. I'm in the middle of jelly/jamming/canning season & need the dishwasher. Please help!

Buy a multimeter with clamps, maybe $30-40, doesn't need to be fancy. Check the thermal fuse's resistance, it should be zero. If not, the fuse is blown and will need to be replaced. There are videos online on how to find and check the resistance. Then check the other components, the heating element, the door switch, also videos online showing how. If none of these have any problems then the last thing I can think of is to check the live voltage of the dishwasher but you probably don't want to do that yourself and are better off hiring a professional at this point.

If none of these appear to be the problem, then idk :(
