i got a defrost-limiter-thermostat from u tested it at room temp about 70 an got read of 0 should be infinity so i put it in warm water for 30 sec same readings a got a new one from u same readings what am i doing wrong or did u give me 2 bad defrost-limiter-thermostat please email me leo614869@yahoo.com asap thank you

Below is the thermal limiter, click on it for more info.
As you can see it opens at 140 degrees F and re-closes at 110 ( L140-30F) so your water may not be hot enough.

Note: I am not a big fan of putting thermal cut-offs/limiters in water. If any water gets into the device, it is toast. You are better off holding it's face to a heat source (soldering gun or stove top element).
