Hello,
The oven doesn't cycle on but timer counts down. All keypad buttons work, fan works, lights work. When start/off buttons are pressed clicks heard that's it. Any ideas on what part may be bad? Many thanks.

one of the door switches is bad. if all door switches are not working in sequence the microwave thinks the door is open and will not run. can be checked with an ohm meter, or replace them all, they are inexpensive

Thanks for your help. I replaced the 4 interlock switches and that was the issue. A local appliance technician (free phone advice) said that was mostly likely the cause. Easy to fix and runs like new now. $25 in parts and my labor.

I have a GE Profile Spacemaker JVM1660BB that has similar symptoms. The keypad, vent fan and hood light all work but the motor doesn't run when I press start. It even counts down my cooking time but nothing is running. Do I need to replace the door switch(es) too? If so, how many for my model and do you have instructions for replacing them? Thanks.

Yes, it's most likely the switches. About 4 total varies per manuf. Easy to do just label the connectors as you take apart. Philips only tool needed. Take off the plastic bracket holding switches much easier to work on. I replaced all of them but the video show how to test. Watch for aftermarket one of them didn't fit mine exact. Check on the exploded drawing for this model. Look for items 29-31 on Searsparts or here if available. There's like 12 models for this unit? Thanks.
