It made a vey loud noise then all of a sudden everything was warm. The refrigerator is on but no cold area is coming out in either of the compartments. Does anyone know what this could be?

Locate the inverter board attached to the compressor and with fridge turned on check if there is 120VAC at the Black and Red wire disconnect plug. If it is proper voltage - most likely you should replace the inverter Part number: 241577505 Here are the breakdown diagrams and System parts for Frigidaire LGUB2642LF0 - AppliancePartsPros.com Please, post the results.
