Not quite 2 years old, washer fills but won't agitate, spin or drain. Repairman says lid switch is fine, wanted $400.00 to replace control panel that only comes with a motor. Any ideas? Would like to repair it myself. I don't have that kind of money.

I would first unplug the washer, open the top user control panel and remove the washer front panel. At the motor/inverter, unplug and re-plug the leftmost and rightmost connectors. Unplug and re-plug the connectors at the user control panel. Plug the washer back in and open/close the lid 6 times within 12 seconds to reset the inverter board. Try the washer again. If you still have problems, check the error code LED on the motor/inverter board. This may be a flashing green LED on the right front of the board or flashing red LED on the right side of board behind a white flap. Normally flashes on/off once per second or once per half second. If any error codes, it will flash the code number at a faster rate. Grab the tech sheet tucked inside the user control panel. It will tell you how to get into service mode to check for error codes on that control board and allow you to cycle through the different functions of the washer. A bad motor/inverter is a common problem with these washers however it doesn't control the drain function. That is controlled directly by the upper control board behind the user control panel.
