When the motor is running, my fridge makes a high pitched, tinkling sound. What is this? Can it be fixed?

Hi.

Open a freezer door and check if that noise is coming from the evaporator fan behind the rear panel?

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Liner parts for Whirlpool ET18NKXFW02 - AppliancePartsPros.com

The motor is #10 on the diagram. If the noise coming from behind the cover, remove it and check for ice build up.

Post the results.

Simon.
