Kitchen-aid double wall went completely dead with no power to control panel during self clean cycle of upper level oven. Turned off power to oven from main electrical panel and removed oven unit from wall. The thermal fuse behind the control panel (whirlpool part #4456654) appeared to be burnt out (brown in color). Also checked shut down thermal fuse (whirlpool part #9759242) at back of upper level oven. Bought replacements for both fuses but subsequently realized shut down thermal fuse was good and was not affected when by the power loss.

Installed new thermal fuse part # 4456654 (retail CAD $22.15 plus tax) behind control panel and oven unit commenced working again.

Will be keeping spare thermal fuse in the event the oven shuts down again under similar conditions.:)
