My 2 year old GE washer will not spin or agitate. I checked the motor- no error codes. I checked the control panel diagnostics- no error codes. Door switch checks out. Shifter coil resistance is around 95 ohms. Ran the manual mode diagnostics- no errors and all functions respond except low and high agitation and spin. LED on motor blinks continuously at 1 second intervals in ready mode. It is as if the circuit board relay is not delivering a start signal to the motor. I do not have schematics to trouble shoot further. Any input on how to determine if the motor is getting the start signal from the control?

Place the washer in field service spin test. At the rightmost connector on the inverter, place one meter probe at the violet wire contact and then check with the other probe at black, yellow, blue and red. You should read 9 volts DC on each of those. If the readings are good, the motor/inverter is faulty.

Eric,
Voltage measures 9 VDC between the violet and the black, blue, yellow and red leads.
Is it time to replace the motor?
Thanks,
Marks

Yep, sounds like it, assuming the lid switch is good and the belt.
