Recently, I had gotten a replacement element for my stove. Unfortunately, the connections are not quite the same. The wires in the stove have 2 large and 2 small connectors on the ends. The 2 bigger ones seem to be fairly straight forward as to where they would go on the new element, but I am having trouble with the 2 smaller ones. One of the small wires on the stove is always hot, and the other appears to go to the indicator once the element gets hot.
The markings on the new element have an "H" and a "S". Is the "H" for "hot" and the "S" for "sensor"?
I would like to know so that I do not get this hooked up correctly without destroying it.
Thanks.

Just follow the element ribbon. If its a single element, it is a loop around the mold of the housing. That is where you 220V would connect to your S.U. switch. The other 2 should be to the Hot Suface Indicator. Try and find your wiring diagram in the bottom drawer to be sure. wrench
