the water fill is timed. if the water continues to fill and does not stop, the problem is in the conrol board. if the water continues to fill when the machine is not on, then the water valve is bad.

does it ever reach the harvest cycle and call for water again? check to make sure your cube size sensor is plugged up at the back of the board. if it is and it is still just a thin slab, unplug the sensor. the unit will default back to timed icemaking. if the ice is thin and never reaches the harvest cycle you could have bad water valve. even if new. if the water valve even lets a trickle of water in while it is making ice it will never get large enough. most of the time it would not make any.
here is how the machine works.
opens valve and water fills the reservoir. water shuts off. the pump and compressor come on to run water over the evaporator. when the ice is thick enough the sensor tell's the board it is time to harvest. the board shuts off the pump and powers the hot gas reversing valve.
all conventional refrigeration have a "high side" and a "low side. the high side is where the condenser is' and heated gas flows through it. thats not exactly the right term but we won't go into it. the low side is the evaporator and it cools the water. when the hot gas valve is reversed it causes the heated gas to go to the evaporator to heat the plate enough to release the ice. ice slides to grid and whole process begins again.
give me a little more detail
