Hi, My GE dishwasher is leaking about 2 fl oz every wash. Somehow water is getting inside the bottom of the door panel, saturating some of the insulation, and dripping out a weep hole at the front bottom corner. I replaced the door gasket, but that had no effect. Maybe I installed it wrong? Dunno. Could you help? Here are some pics of whats' going on. Slideshow GE Dishwasher RepairThumbnails GE Dishwasher Repair - a set on FlickrIn anticipation of some of the questions that may be asked: Yes. the machine is level. Yes. I cleaned the float switch. No. It doesn't seem like an unusually high level of water collects in the bottom of the dishwasher mid-cycle. Thanks in advance for your help!

looks like gasket o.k. check water level, there is a float dome at the front of the tube. the dome has an opening on side at the bottom. water should be no higher than midway of this opening. check detergent for sudsing. some cheaper detergent create a lot of suds. d/w are not supposed to suds up. sudsing can make a dishwasher leak. it will not even look like suds when it reaches the floor.

Wow! Thanks for the quick response! The water level in my tub is definitely above the opening on the side/bottom of the float dome. That opening is only about 3/4" high. If I open the dishwasher mid-cycle during rinse mode, there is probably close to 2" of water in the tub. The tub drains, so I assume the float and solenoid are working. What else would cause the water level to get too high?

I would replace the water inlet valve, it is a timed fill. even though it has a float safety switch the water has to reach a higher level than normal for it to shut down the water valve. if the valve is worn on the inside it will let more water flow thru the valve than normal. I think this will fix the problem. good luck.

Unfortunately I'm still leaking after installing the new water inlet valve. Any other ideas?
