Recently used the self-clean feature on our Kitchenaid Double Oven Model KEBC207KSS04 and killed the oven. After researching the situation and seeing all the folks who had suffered the same fate, I realized that one, or both, of the thermal fuses would need to be replaced. I ended up replacing both the one on the back of the top oven and the one running to the control panel and oven works perfectly fine now...except the 4 halogen oven lights no longer work (2 upper/2 lower). I tested the bulbs and they are all fine. Does anyone have any insight to what would have caused the lights to become inoperable when the oven failed with the self-cleaning fiasco? Is there some kind of breaker or fuse for the halogen lights or the transformer that supports the lights?

Here are your parts Parts for Whirlpool KEBC207KSS04 Wall Oven - AppliancePartsPros.comSee the attachment for the tech sheet There is no fuse. Sounds like the control board has a problem. I would check if there is 120 volts across the primary of the light power supply transformer when the lights are supposed to be on. If you have 120 then the transformer needs replacing. I would also check the wiring to/from the lights to be sure you did not just bump a wire and have a bad connection. |
