Hi,
I didn't see a post for this particular problem and I hope you can help me....
I have a Whirlpool washer and in the last couple of weeks it has started making a VERY loud clunk when it finishes the spin cycle after washing and is transtioning to the rinse cycle. It spins and the water drains but the clunk is so loud that you can hear it through the entire house. I haven't noticed a smell, or water leaking anywhere.

Any thoughts? Thanks so much for your help!!!!!!!!!!

If the clunk is associated with the spin basket jerking, you have dragging brake shoes, if not, you have a loose/damaged drive block supporting the spin basket, just pull the agitator and check.
