I am planning to install this kit this weekend.I highly suspect one of the tabs are broken. Is it necessary to remove and file/sand smooth the broken tab ?
And what about the other tab ?Should that be removed as well ?

This is a door chute. If one of the retaining, housing tabs are broken, you will need to drill a hole in the housing and screw in a screw to keep the chute bracket in place.
