washer has stopped at various points in the cycle and the timer keeps going to the end of the cycle. can get the machine to finish the load by turning the timer knob to point where it stopped and pulling the knob out. what should i check?

Sounds like a faulty timer. What is the serial number of the washer?

The proper part number for your timer is 22002203. If you buy it from APP and it doesn't fix the problem, you can return it.
