Kenmore Gas Dryer Model 75731 Dryer Won't Heat

Based on other posts, here is what I did and observed about my dryer:

1. I have checked the dryer vent and that is clean, checked the 4" discharge to the outside and that is clean.

2.Took the bottom off of the front of the dryer below the door have witnessed the following:

1. The glow starts. 2. Flame appears 3. Stays on different lengths of time depending on what heat cyle I have the dryer set to. 4. Flame disappears. 5. Time passes, no flame. 6. Glow appears again.....wait wait wait no flame, no nothing. 7. Glow disappears. Dark again. 8. Time passes no flame. Glow appears, wait again, no flame.

Is this something we can fix, or is a service call necessary. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanking in advance.
