My gas oven will not light the bottom burner. The broiler and all stove top burners work. When turning on the oven, the igniter glows but the gas valve does not turn on. If I tap the gas valve, it turns on and burns fine until the oven needs to cycle again. I replaced the gas valve but it does the same thing. I now find that when turning on the broiler, I see approximately 3 Volts going to the gas valve. When turning on the oven, voltage only climbs to approximately 2.5V. I suspect the oven control module but was hoping someone could confirm. Also, when replacing the oven control module, will there be adjustments that I will not be able to perform myself? Thank you

After reading other similar posts, ordered bottom oven igniter. Problem was solved by replacing the igniter.

My oven is doing the same thing only the igniter is glowing bright orange. It should be lighting. I seems that the gas is not making it to the igniter. What can stop the flow of the gas?

Most likely the problem is a bad oven igniter.
In order to provide most accurate advise we need the complete model number of the oven.

The model # is MGR5750ADW. It's 9 yrs. old. I've replaced the oven sensor and clock assembly already with no change.
