I have a 23 year old Maytag LCRE350 electric range. None of the burners work however the indicator light is lit. The oven does not work and the indicator light does not work. I realize it is time for a new range since I can not find any information using the model number but is there a place I should start troubleshooting?

Thanks!

I would start by checking the power.
Indicator lights and oven lights often work on 120 volts while your elements need 240 volts.

Try turning the breaker off/on a couple times.
Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker.
Better yet check it with a meter.

If OK, unplug the unit and check that a wire has not burned up somewhere, often this is at the terminal block in the unit.

That did the trick! Thanks! Should I be concerned about the electricial box? I know my parents were having some issues with their oven as well as other issues like lights dimming and they needed to have their electrical service updated. We are having no other issues other than the oven.

Thanks again!

I would not be too concerned unless it starts happening on a regular basis.
Many others have had this problem so it is a fairly common occurance.
