In your illustrated parts breakdown for this model Item 23 lists a "Thermostat" for $20, but the photo is of a thermostat heater. You may want to take a look and add the word "heater" to its title.
Also, what is the resistance of the heater at room temperature? I measure 3.5 Kohms, but I'm told that it should be between 4.6 and 8.6 Kohms. Which is correct?

I usually do not support gas dryers but I can at least give you some info on this question. See the attachment for the wiring diagram. It is for a XSW3 but odds are high that yours will be the same. Looks like your thermostat heater is OK. |
