I have this spare mini-fridge/freezer (it's a small apartment type). It has the freezer on top and the fridge on bottom. The other day my son accidentally left the door open before leaving for school so the fridge door stayed open most of the day.
When I got home I closed it. I noticed a few hours later though that the drinks in the fridge were barely cool and the freezer wasn't keeping things cold enough to stay frozen.
I can hear something running in the unit but it seems to not be able cool enough for freeze right now.
Any ideas?
FYI. It's an Electrolux. Model # FRT0LG3DWO

I cannot find any info on the given model number. Are you sure that there is not another number after the first 0.
If I add in a number I do find some units but the parts available for it are very limited.
If this unit uses a compressor, check to see if the compressor is running. You can usually hear it but should also be able to feel it vibrating.
If the compressor runs all the time it may be a defrost problem re: the moisture from the room air condensed on the evaporator coils so now they cannot cool efficiently. I would manually defrost the unit to see if that helps. |
