I recently replaced the drum bearing on a Maytag Washer due to a water leak. The replacement went well and "by the book." Since the replacement, during the spin cycle, the unit starts banging like it is out of balance. This only occurs when there is some laundry in the tub. At times it spins out properly, other times it practically walks across the floor. The unit never did this prior to the bearing replacement. Is there an adjustment? I hesitate to move any of the drum springs. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Nobull, You may want to try this, Check and make sure the three(3) tub bolts are tightened evenly. Then remove the agitator,and loosen the tub clamping nut. Center the tub as beast possible at the 12, 6 9 and 3 o'clock positions(you can use your fingers as spacers, but be careful) then tighten the clamping nut hand tight,then loosen 1/4 turn. Put the timer into a spin cycle, and let the tub spin for 30 to 40 seconds and raise the lid to stop the tub. It should make a noise, the tub spinning on the mounting stem cushion, Then properly tighten the clamping nut. This method is really "old school" but works.
