My daughter has a Frigidaire electric self cleaning Stove Model FEFL77AQH. She was baking cookies when she heard a pop in the oven. Now the only thing that happens is when she turns on any of the top burners, the broil and eliment lights go on and the oven light will light when the door is opened but nothing else works. None of the top or oven elements heat up. The digital screen does not light.

Here are your parts Parts for Frigidaire FEFL77AQH Range - AppliancePartsPros.comHere is a wiring diagram http://manuals.frigidaire.com/p...pringfield/316255315.pdfYou may have two problems. All the elements require 240 volts. The stove top elements are a separate circuit from the oven elements and since they do not heat up it sounds like you do not have 240 volts. Before doing the following, unplug the unit and visually check that both the bake and broil elements are OK (no blow out points). Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. If this does nothing, check the voltage at the plug L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts. If OK Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out If OK Check the power at the terminal strip. Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!!
If you now have stove top elements but the oven control/timer does not work then the control is probably toast. It may also need another control overlay. They are self stick, sometimes they come off OK if you heat them up a bit with a hair dryer but just as often they get screwed up trying to remove them,. |
