Our GE Profile gas oven nearly explodes when igniting. Sometime it lites normally. At other times it ignites with a bang. At times there is the oder of gas when igniting. It is propane powered. I'thinking gas presure regulator, but is it a faulty part or an adjustment?

I just solved my own issue. The holes in the gas igniter tube were corroded shut in the area of the electronic igniter. I cleaned the holes and all is well. Will replace the tube because it will corrode again in short order, now that the anti oxidation coating is gone.
