Need help in putting the wires back on a GE Dryer motor (5KH26GJ116t). This I believe equates to a WE17M22 motor. Problem is wiring diagram has M1-M6 for Green, Red,Yellow, Pink, Black and Purple wires. The motor itself has terminals numbered 1-8(ground). I don't know how this equates to numbers on Wiring diagram. I believe the sequence is as I have stated starting at the top with ground (green). I also believe Red is next to motor Blue, Yellow-Brown is next to motor orange and motor black is next to nothing. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Turned on Dryer with it wired the way I thought it should be (ground-green -top pin, red, yellow, pink. black, purple (bottom pin) - runs but there is a burning smell. One of the heating elements is out would this cause this or is it wired wrong?
