My Whirlpool gas dryer has the option of having low, medium, or high heat; however, it seems to only run high heat during the dry cycle, despite whether it's on low, medium or high. The gas flame never kicks off!!!!

My first thought is the control switch, can anyone recommend how to check? Another thought is the cycling thermostat...

Any thoughts????

- The cycling thermostat Part number: 694674
Part number: 694674

- The thermostat heater Part number: 61894
