The fan is very loud on both ovens and the display is very dim. Which parts need replacing, and can a non-professional do the repairs?

Hi.

Does the display stay dim all the time?
You will have to remove the oven out of the wall, disassemble to get to the cooling fans and check why there are loud. Some times you just need to tighten the screws, clean the blower cage. If nothing helps, then - replace the blowers.
Here are the breakdown diagrams and Top Venting parts for Whirlpool KEBI206DBL6 - AppliancePartsPros.com

Post the results.

That's a bad news. You need to replace the main control board/clock and it's no longer available. The only option is to find on the nett a company which will rebuild this board for you.

Good luck.

Simon.
