I can light the oven by hand and it will fire and get to temp then the flame goes out. But it will not refire on its own. i can't find any info on this stove.
The ser# is 2x 50719, Made in Cleveland Tenn. Thanks Dave

Can you post some pictures? Does this stove have a safety valve or a flame switch? Does the system use a safety valve with a thermocouple built in? On ovens with pilot lights or standing pilots most of the time it IS the safety valve because the little thermocouple that mounts on the pilot goes bad and won't open the safety valve.

I will post pics as soon as my camera is charged. I just looked at the temp valve (Knob) closer and notice that there is a small line that looks like it goes to a pilot, and off of this there are lines that go to the other pilots for the gridle. But there is a lot of crud in it. I will get a pic of that also. Thanks dave

You could try to remove that thermocouple sand the tip down and reposition the tip right into the blue portion of the flame. But the sad reality is the safety valve is probably bad. The good news is you can still get parts from brown stove. BROWN STOVE CO

Thanks sublime, Where would the pilot be. I think this is a non electric lighting stove since the burners have pilot lights that have to be light. Can you look at the 3rd pic from the left it is upside down. I don't know if that is the oven pilot? It is filled up with junk. Thanks for your help.

Get a wire brush and try to get all the buildup from around the pilot. The small wire attach with a probe is a copper/nickel thermocouple. When powered by flame it becomes a tiny battery that puts out millivolts; it opens a switch or a flap on a safety. Low flame will cause it to do what you are describing. you would know it if you held a propane torch to it and the oven stayed on.

Sublime How does the oven pilot work. The temp knob is 115 volt 60 amps. There is an in and out gas line smaller then 1/4 inch, and the temp wire. On the front of the deal is a screw for adj heat motor, and one that says HTR. I don't think there is a standing pilot. Nothing wants to light in the oven when the knob is off.
(Does this stove have a safety valve or a flame switch?
Does the system use a safety valve with a thermocouple built in? )
How do I tell the difference?
Is the safety valve the whole deal where the main supply line hooks to the oven. Thanks Dave
