Hello folks!
First post here hope you can help me I am a car guy not an appliance guru.
I have here this 5 year old GE Profile that won't cool down to the temps I have programmed in the panel. It cools down to 20 degrees freezer and 45 degrees fridge. It usually cools down to 0 (freezer) and 35 (fridge).
This has gone on for about a week. The motherboard was replaced last year for a non-working compressor.
The compressor runs all day and night but just doesn't seem to get down to proper temp. The condenser coils are clean and I unplugged the machine for a day to defrost which it didn't seem to need.
Upon plugging it back in and running for 24 hours the temps still are higher than normal.
I ran the self test for thermistors 0 7 on the control panel and all installed thermistors come back with a "P" for working correctly.
I am an auto tech by trade and think the issue might be a R-134 leak or improper charge.
Please lead me in the right direction,
Thanks in advance, John the beerguy!:D
