Amana Dryer Timer Does Not Advance in Auto Mode

Hello,

I have an Amana dryer model number ndg7800aww.

The timer does not advance in auto mode. It does however advance in timed mode. It does seem to dry the clothes in either mode. The timer stops around the middle of auto mode.
