Good Morning, Last night my daughter pushed the "pause/cancel" button on our whirlpool duet sport electric dryer model number wed8300sw0. she waited for the drum to stop then opened the door retrieved and retrieved the clothes that were dry. she closed the door and pushed the start button and nothing happened. We unplugged the dryer for about a half an hour, when we plugged it back in, same thing. The control panel lights up, push the start button, moisture indicator lights up, then nothing. The light comes on when opening the door and shuts off when closing. Any ideas?

Hi there we had the same thing happen... and there's a faint humming all the time (door open or shut). We've trioed multiple things: turn off breaker, use diagnostic code test w/ 88 and all lights on, heat sensor test, various blogs/forums etc and nothing seems to point to the root of the problem. Did you ever get a solution, if so, what was it? Thx bj
