My Whirlpool Catalyst washer, Mod. GSX9750PWO gets through it's spin cycle but doesn't seem to get as much water out of the clothes as it should. Sometime I have to reach in and turn the tub a little by hand, then restart the spin cycle. Even then, it's not extracting as much water from the clothes as it should. This was happening intermittently to start, but now it seems to be more the rule than the exception. Not sure if it's the spin tube, or how hard it would be to replace, or worth it. The washer is 7 years old and sees almost daily use.

You have the classic symptoms of a bad clutch. Here is the kit

and there is a video to show you how to do the repair. It is not hard, but it takes time, and takes a helper if you can get one.
