Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 2/18/2013(UTC) Posts: 1		I have a GE fridge that was making noise from the freezer evaporator fan. I took the fan out of the freezer, took the motor apart, and cleaned and lubricated the motor. After replacing the existing motor in the freezer, I have found that the freezer is nice and cold, but the fridge is also freezing; liquids and vegetables in the fridge will freeze. Any ideas? Did I install the fan blade backwards? Did I rebuild the motor with the direction reversed? The fan is rotating clockwise and blowing air into the freezer compartment away from the coils.

Ratm, If these articles are on the top shelf and in the center of the shelf, under the air damper, this could happen. If this is not the case, you will need to lower the control panel from the ceiling in the fresh food compartment and check the freezer control knob, shaft and damper for proper alignment and operation. Check the temperature bulb on the end of the cold control, and make sure it has not been dislodged and moved out of the air flow.
