Two months ago I had the compressor replaced by Alabama Power co and everything worked fine except it was very noisy at times. Two days ago the refrigerator temp went to 50 and stayed for a while,i noticed the compressor would cut off about three times within an hour but the fan stayed on.now the temp inside is 65 degrees but the compressor runs and every 8 hours the compressor and fan stops and it goes into defrost.I noticed that the compressor gets too hot to touch, i had to run my fingers under cold water. The freon is not low according to the refrigerator tech,he seems to think i have a defrost problem but there is no frost in the freezer and it goes into defrost every 8 hours and the compressor runs the entire 8 hours. What could cause this? I really need to know before i spend out any more money. Thanks for any help

What makes the tech think it's a defrost problem? Did he happen to comment it was running and defrosting the same time? Your best bet is to get Alabama Power back out there while the compressor still has warranty on it in case that's the problem.
