Thinking I'll put in used transmission. Question, can shaft seals be replaced without trans disassembly? Can lubricant be added without opening trans? Thanks.

The problem is, you don't know how much has leaked out and you don't want to overfill it. It normally holds 15oz of oil. If it's leaking at the output shafts or around the perimeter of the cover, you must remove the cover. Eric
