The freezer is cold, but not the fridge. There is only a tiny bit of ice on the back of the freezer.

Hi.

Is the evaporator fan runs?If it does proceed as follows:
To determine the problem you'll need to remove the evaporator cover (you call it the back of the freezer) and check if the evaporator coils are blocked with snow.
If they are you have to check the continuity of the defrost thermostat and defrost heater.

The defrost thermostat must be ice cold when checked.

If both are OK - then you need to replace the control board
