I have a Kenmore (by Whirlpool) dishwasher model number 665.13893. Last Wednesday it stopped filling with water while running.
So far I have:

Tested the float valve for movement and it clicks when pulled up.

Used a multimeter to test voltage of the wiring harness that plugs in to the water inlet and it provides 110V when calling for water.

Removed water inlet, cleaned filter screen.

Tested to ensure water was reaching the dishwasher through the water line.

Replaced water inlet and still no water.

Removed the water feed line from the water inlet and ran dishwasher to test if water will pass through which it will not.

The fact that water will not pass through the new water inlet is what has me confused- it is receiving 110V from the float switch when needed to fill and new water inlet should remove the possibility of a faulty solenoid. From my understanding the fill side of a dishwasher is fairly simple and with proper voltage and strong water pressure it should pass water through the inlet.

Is there something I'm missing or should check to better diagnose the problem? Where should I go next with the repair?

Hello,

Try to apply 120 VAC direct to the water inlet valve to see how it will work. Post the results.

The model number you posted is incomplete. Please verify and repost it.

Hi,

Thank you for the response. The complete model number is 665.13893K801.

I had actually thought of trying the 120V direct to the water inlet this morning and both the new and old water inlet hum when plugged in.

I tested jumping the spade connectors to the float valve to bypass it and still no water.

With the jumped float valve I retested the voltage for the water inlet connector and it is only reaching 110V momentarily and is testing closer to a 90V constant. If I'm correct that would mean the control board is not providing adequate voltage to the water inlet?
