Hi. After replacing the clutch on my Kenmore Elite model 110.16972500 washer, I was reinstalling the pump onto the side of the motor. As I was reaching behind the pump to snap on the rear spring clip, a part fell out of somewhere. It looks like a clevis pin, except that the side of the shaft of the pin is flat. The part is almost exactly 2 inches long and is brass in color. I've searched through every parts diagram and searched by description "pin", "clevis", "retaining",etc. and don't seem to find this part listed. Does anyone know what this part is and where it goes?Thx Ronrsaritzky attached the following image(s):

It is a shipping pin used to prevent the tub and support from shifting during shipping. They are disengaged from their positions during installation via a cord that you pull on to release them. There should be some little plastic cups that they fall into when released.

Eric Eric - thanks! I do see the little plastic cups under the tub. So I am assuming that I can discard it, right? The other 2 cups are empty - I'm assuming that the other ones fell out in prior years when I've had the washer on its side. Regards, Ron

Thanks for the question and for the answer. I'm in the middle of moving, and as the movers set down the washer in the new laundry room, the same half-round clevis and plastic cup fell. "We might need to find a laundromat" was the last thing my wife wanted to hear as she was unpacking from the move.
