how do you change a high voltage transformer in a microwave?

Hi.

Unplug the unit.
You will have to take down the microwave, take the cover off, take the bottom plate off.
Discharge the hi-voltage capacitor using two screwdrivers with plastic handles.
Memorize where the wires are going and then disconnect them. Take the screws holding the transformer out and remove it.
Replace in the reverse order.
