I have a whirlpool cabrio model # wed6200swo. The dryer was in the middle of a cycle, made popping noise and turned off. When you push power the power comes on but when you push start it beeps and the only the sensing light comes on. I pulled off the back panel and checked the fuse, there was continuity. I checked the exhaust thermistor and found it was reading about 11,000. Did the diagnostic on the dryer and it said f25. Was told that code meant the inlet thermistor was bad, I checked that and did get a 0 reading on the multimeter so I replaced. Got it all back together, did not put the back panel on or secure the exhaust hose. Pushed power, then start and got the sensing light and a beep. So does anybody have any idea of what I can now try besides calling a repair man.

thanks

Hello,

You may want to check the belt. If the belt is good, check the broken belt switch (#22 at the diagram) for continuity and the wires connected to the switch.

- The belt Part number: 8547168
Part number: 8547168

- The broken belt switch assembly Part number: 8566208
